Back from the Big Easy

I love New Orleans so much. Everytime I leave the French Quarter I know I am not done with it. I spent the last five days walking around in the mist (and a little sun) and loved every minute. There is a haunted and familiar feeling in the streets and balconies that I can’t resist.

2 tickets to Thailand, please

It’s official, I have my ticket and I am off to Thailand April 5, 2008. I am traveling with my cousin Jolene to visit her parents, my aunt and uncle, in Bangkok. I am busy researching all I can to get a better idea of what Bangkok will be like and what I want to do/see most.

I will post what I find in the way of cool Thai attractions in the next few weeks.

I had no idea that Crate&Barrel had a new storefront. It’s like C&B had an IKEA love child and called it CB2. Now that I am furnishing a new place – I am all about it.

More Egypt from San Diego

My cousin Robin from San Diego sent me the greatest package! It was full of photos from our trip to Egypt – CDs of some of the music she bought while we were there and a charm bracelet she made with little camel charms, palm trees, pearls and mummies. my new apartment

I love it! I have never lived someplace where I feel so comfortable. This was an adjustment at first, as I have never lived alone – I called my Mom every hour the first week I was here – but now I am feeling at home and happy.
